Share-A-Chef Wednesday

Hi! Happy Hump Day!!! This week I will be sharing one of my new favorite chefs with you all and  I am sure you will love her just as much as I do! Her name is Katie Lee and she is a culinary personality and a co-host on The Food Network's "The Kitchen". Katie began cooking at the young age of 4 with her Grandma Dora. Katie's latest book, "Endless Summer Cookbook" came out in the Spring of 2015. In addition to "The Kitchen", Katie can be found on Food Network Shows, "Best. Ever" and"Beat Bobby Flay".  Katie resides in the Hamptons and Tribeca. This week I will be featuring her "BLT Ranch Burger Recipe"! OMG!! That just sounds amazing! This recipe is perfect for all the summer BBQ's you will be hosting and attending!

BLT Ranch Burger

Ingredients
Dressing:
1 cup mayonnaise
1/2 cup buttermilk
2 tablespoons minced fresh chives
2 tablespoons minced fresh flat-leaf parsley
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
Burgers:
1 pound lean ground beef (80/20)
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 large egg, lightly beaten
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
4 potato buns, buttered and toasted
8 pieces cooked bacon, cut in half
1 ripe tomato, sliced
Bibb lettuce leaves, for topping
Directions
For the dressing: Combine the mayonnaise, buttermilk, chives, parsley, salt, pepper and garlic powder in a medium bowl and mix well. Refrigerate until ready to serve.

For the burgers: Preheat an outdoor grill to medium-high heat.

In a bowl, combine the beef, Worcestershire sauce, egg, salt and pepper. Shape into 4 patties.

Grill the patties for about 5 minutes per side for medium doneness.

Place each patty on a bun and top with bacon, tomato, lettuce and a generous dollop of dressing. Close the burgers with the top bun half and serve immediately.
